McCombs Middle School students and staff collected money to donate to the Red Cross to help support disaster relief efforts in Texas.  Money was collected for two weeks and the McCombs MS Student Council President presented a check to the local Red Cross chapter.

Before starting 7th grade in the fall, students must meet a new mandatory state vaccination requirement. Students without proof of a meningitis vaccination or an exemption will not be allowed to attend classes in the fall. As of Aug. 1, 35% of McCombs’ incoming 7th grade students do not have the vaccination. McCombs students raised more than $1,500 to support the country of Haiti in their efforts to rebuild.  The students celebrated their accomplishment with a “Reindeer Games” assembly on December 22.  A video summary of the events can be viewed via this link.DMPS TV
