7/8 Girls Wrestling Information for the Upcoming Season

Below is information from the DMPS Girls Wrestling Coach Kendric Birden.  He will oversee girls wrestling, 7-12.  He is a great individual and I look forward to seeing how this  new format will improve the overall experience for our girls wrestling team at DMPS.

*Introducing Des Moines Middle School Girls Wrestling*

We are excited to announce the launch of Des Moines Middle School Girls Wrestling, a unified team comprising athletes from all 10 middle schools.

*Expert Coaching and Training*

Our middle school girls will be trained by esteemed coaches, including the Head Coach of the Des Moines Girls Wrestling Program. This partnership ensures top-tier guidance and mentorship.

*Joint Training Sessions*

Our middle school athletes will train alongside our high school girls, fostering teamwork, skill development, and camaraderie.

*Key Details:*

– Practice Start Date: October 21st

– Practices led by Head Coach Kendric Birden and the new Middle School Girls Head Coach

– Open Room Sessions (optional):

– Sundays: 4:30-6:00 pm (Roosevelt)

– Mondays and Tuesdays: 6:30-8:00 pm (Roosevelt)
