Golden Eagles Valentines for Meals on Wheels

Golden Eagles participated in the Love Letters campaign from DoSomething.org by creating Valentines.  DoSomething states that loneliness and isolation are health risks comparable to smoking, obesity, and lack of exercise.  Additionally, 1 in 6 seniors do not know where their next meal is coming from.  According to WesleyLife, their drivers “hand-deliver meals daily – not only bringing a delicious meal, but also offering a daily safety check along with a friendly smile and warm conversation.”  This month they will also be bringing cards from our students at McCombs.
